I think they forget what HHS and Doj policy is Garland was pretty clear on his position against this , states have been losing in court and I hope the Doj starts backing their statements with action
Yes. I do know that. Focus on the facts. Suicidality goes down. Get them to recognize that whatever the cause, the suicidality goes down with treatment. They cannot deny that. Then hit ‘em with the other statistic. It’s incrementally more with trans treated than SSRI which is the gold standard as first line. Of course they don’t care. It’s bigoted, but it’s a start to get them to see the light. Optimistic and naive I know.
I think the question is when not if these will go into effect. I'm not totally sure if these monster will ever see what they're doing as well monstrous. This all has gone way beyond red meat for the base and I don't think that these politician's supporters will ever blink an eye to the point of actual killing. But at some point general society will have to wake up and realize whats happening and really may or may not do anything about it, because trans people are "icky".
Why not emphasize that the reduction in suicidality actually for treatment actually exceeds decrease in suicidal ideation compared to even the ubiquitously prescribed SSRI Class of drugs? From Nature….
